One of the dish tonight will be easy and tasty. From the freezer, I took the left over braised beef ribs (cooked previously), re-cook it with daikon, ginger and green onions in a slow cooker, leave it on high for two hours. I like it with rice and perhaps add another green vegetable like sautéed broccoli. (photo and words by Holly Lee)

The Raw and the Cooked, MYTHOLOGIQUES is a new column on the culture of eating and cooking, with contributions by various authors. The column name is borrowed from the title of a book by Claude Levi-Strauss. It is spontaneous, a little amusing but serious at the same time.
