Poem a Week
by Gary Michael Dault

EURIDYCE REDUX

a door creaks shut
a mushroom of lethargy
grows in the damp room

mice sleep
on the spongy floor

in this
laconic present
everything is already
recollection

the spirit drags its feet
night seals the doors
and the windows

Euridyce is still outside
lost a second time

Some Trees
by Malgorzata Wolak Dault

Number 33

Is it that they are born again
And we grow old? No, they die too.
Their yearly trick of looking new
Is written down in rings of grain.

--from Philip Larkin, The Trees.

Travelling Palm Snapshots
by Tamara Chatterjee

Canada (April, 2016) – Often its the seemingly uneventful days that enlighten the sense with surprise interludes in secret places, sometimes its just the way the light dances shadows on the hard city scape.
