Diptych photographs featured in this publication are selections from DUET, a series of work Lee Ka-sing began in 2014. Over the years, more than a thousand diptychs have been created. These photographs, in his own words, are phrases or stanzas, as in part of a poem. Most of the diptychs by itself, if seeing it from an imaginary perspective, can be a piece of short poem. The duo images juxtaposed like a piece of haiku. Lee Ka-sing releases fresh-cuts every week on www.lightreads.com, a website that mainly houses this large body of work. Not until the Summer of 2019, on the occasion of his exhibition at the Sotheby‘s gallery in Hong Kong, he began to release large prints as official edition for this series. In the format of 17“x22”, on 325 gms heavy stock UltraSmooth fine art paper, he issues one unique edition only for each diptych photograph. Apart from that, some of the diptychs are also released as BIBLIOTHEKA, an open edition in a hybrid form of “print” and “publication”, in size of 6.25”x13”, an archival print which carries an emboss stamp of BIBLIOTHEKA. The diptych images from DUET series, are also available for editorial and commercial usage. Acquire image publication right by writing to firstname.lastname@example.org
